Timber Floor Polish
We offer services such as polishing, sanding and grinding varnishing for the installation and maintenance of timber wood floors. As for polish, there are many ways to polish an indoor or outdoor wood floor surface, mainly depending on the type of finish used. This process that requires care and attention to detail because it have such a typical application method, which might be utilized with product-specific variations. Basically, polishing process is the next step after sanding/grinding.

Proper
mixing of the finishes is an important step in ensuring that the
subsequent coating will provide a good performance. The first coat
applied to the raw sanded timber can be either a recognized sealer coat,
or the same material to be used as a finish to polish.
By
using appropriate sealer can enrich the colour of the timber floor at
the same time. Both water-based and solvent-based sealers are available.
Solvent-based provide harder finish that is of much greater abrasion
resistance thus reducing the amount of routing maintenance while
water-based finishes is very good wear resistance. These finishes are
generally applied over a sealer, therefore reducing the risk of edge
bonding
All
additional coats should be applied in the same manner as the first two
coats, i.e., light sanding between coats, followed with through cleaning
of the floor before applying the next coat.
For
most flooring, a three-coat system is recommended . However, depending
on the type of finish used, there may be variations. Also bear in mind
that various water and oil-based coating systems require a finer grit of
paper between coats as compared to the solvent-based products.
There
are a lot of styles, colours and species of timber flooring available.
Timber floor finish may last for up to 5-8 years. The cost of recoating a
timber floor is more affordable. Timber is natural, hard wearing and
when maintained and kept clean it avoids carrying dust and allergens
which promote asthma and other respiratory problems.
